This exhibition by Jan De Cock is the second part of the exhibition project with the general title Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. The first was on at the With-Out Studio in Knokke-Heist from September till January 2012, where six cahiers were presented in the course of six months.
Jan De Cock chose Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, the protagonist of this serial, as the title for this exhibition project on spectacle and culture. In the exhibition, the oblique shadow of her image comes to the fore, evoking an image that involuntarily traces the road that crosses borders and time. The themes of the cahiers will be transposed into this sculptural exhibition.
In addition a catalogue will be published with a summary of the artist's oeuvre. The publication and the exhibition, as well as the six graphic bundles, all overlap within the same all-encompassing concept.
The exhibition, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Eine Romantische Ausstellung, will be shown at the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden from 10 March till 24 June 2012.
