Veerle Wallebroek elected as Secretary General of SIBMAS

On 2 June 2016, Veerle Wallebroek, coordinator at Het Firmament (Centre of expertise for the cultural heritage of performing arts in Flanders), was elected as Secretary General of SIBMAS, the International Association of Libraries, Museums, Archives and Documentation Centres of the Performing Arts.

Since 1954, SIBMAS has been the international network of cultural heritage in the performing arts. Spread across 35 countries around the world, SIBMAS gathers individuals and institutions documenting circus, dance, film, opera, theatre and puppetry. SIBMAS promotes research in the performing arts, facilitates networking among its members and shares resources about their specific collections and the performing arts in general.
