The 2012 IBBY Congress in London has as its central theme: an exploration of how stories and books migrate, translate and find children across countries and cultures. The congress will look at issues such as globalisation, dual-language texts, cultural exchange and the art of translation. The International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) is a non-profit organisation which represents an international network of people from all over the world who are committed to bringing books and children together.
Marita De Sterck presents a seminar: 'Kinky spiders on the web. The adaptation of folktales in the age of globalisation', based on the stories in 'Bleeding Beauties'.
